As a way to celebrate the veterans not only in the town of Parkersburg, West Virginia but all around the world the Parkersburg South marching band loaded onto the buses after the first bell rang to go over to Blennerhassett Elementry and Middle school. This was started a few years ago but as Covid-19 hit they couldn’t really attend. The band was the first performance for the veterans and elementary students along with staff. While they were waiting for the programs to start the band played their parade march for the year along with the Veterans Salute. Once the program started the band kicked off the program with The Star Spangled Banner, followed by the bands parade march of the year, next was the Veteran's Salute, then the band left stage with the cadence for this year. The band was glade that they got the opportunity to go to Blennerhassett and preform for the people that have served and the ones who may serve in our future.

The next thing the band did to celebrate our Veterans was a Veterans Day Parade where South and PHS march down from PHS to City Park where they preform for the veterans program. There the band played The Star Spangled Banner along with the Veteran's Salute. Again the band was happy that they got to show their love for our veterans and the community.
